Very poor customer service with extremely rude representatives who wish to speak to you however they please and you not say anything back or wish to speak to someone else. They do not mail letters to contact you and give you time to receive the letter and take action before they cancel insurance. It is an absolute joke.

So, typically when I've had trouble with the website in the past, I've called the help line and someone has done whatever needed to be done over the phone because there really was no way to do it on healthcare.gov. Last month I moved and the phone call was about an hour and required multiple holds while the rep had to consult about about how to "trick" the system into triggering a perfectly legal special enrollment period. I know the rep had to... Read more

I am unemployed and feel I am forced to get insurance when I cant afford it! Its either I pay a lot of money now, or I pay a lot of money when my husband does his taxes. How the *** is this helping!!!!!???? I called the healthcare.gov number, the young girl was clueless and unhelpful and referred me to the insurance co. When I called them, they said they could only help with billing! I don't want this insurance, its too high and doesn't cover... Read more

Reading all these complaints about the service and inability to solve the simplistic of tasks should trouble all Americans. I sold group health insurance prior to taking early retirement. What I haven't heard mentioned is the complete and total disrespect this government agency has for the lost productivity, increased stresse, and additional cost each communication brings. In dealing with the iRS, for instance, they provide you with their phone... Read more

My husband and I qualified for a special enrollment period due to a move. I needed to get back into the system to finish the enrollment process (which they listed as incomplete) ... but I wasn't able to access it! I can't see the application!! How am I supposed to finish it when the site won't allow it? And now? I am beyond the sixty days and have to wait until the open enrollment period in a few months. Just GREAT. In theory, having a... I have signed into your healthcare.gov website several times and had to give my telephone number before I could talk to someone or get information about the plans offered. I don't even have time to finish the application before I'm bombarded by calls from every insurance company in the US. After I get the coverage offered by you I'm still getting calls from Insurance companies. I'm tired of talking to these people and now believe I'm being... Read more

We just found out that even if you move outside your insurance coverage area (in same state) it is not considered a "special event" and you cannot change your coverage. So we have two children in college, one is four hours away, needs Help now, but has no coverage (not even out of network) and cannot change her plan! Something needs to change to accommodate moving within your state to ensure continued health coverage. And be included in... Read more

If you move out of state and file an application for coverage in a new state, here's what happens: you will be promised that your new application will be visible on your profile. It won't be. Then when you call in, an agent will tell you that the wrong application ID was given to you by the original agent who helped you. Then when you search for the correct application ID, the website will lock you out of that feature for searching "too many... Read more
