I started a new job and reported it to Healthcare.gov in October 2016, as well as indicated I would have employer paid healthcare beginning November 14 2016. In November I contacted Providence Healthcare to follow up and they said I needed to cancel with Healthcare.gov, which I had already done. I switched provider/plan earlier in the year from Prov-A to Prov-B, which was approved and was put on the new plan with a retroactive effective date of 2/1. I had already paid my premium to Prov-A for Feb. With the retroactive effective date, I paid the premium to Prov-B (Per notification from marketplace) for Feb. The marketplace had sent in a wrong retroactive termination date to Prov-A, resulting in them denying my refund of premium paid.... Read more

I turned 65 and received medicare benefits. I assumed that Healthcare.gov would automatically know that i was no longer eligible for their reduced premiums and stop my coverage payments to Horizon. Called on Nov. 5th to cancel husband off policy, since he will be covered by Medicare beginning Dec. 1. Told to call back at the end of Nov. Called today Nov. 30th to take him off policy, since he will be covered by Medicare tomorrow, Dec. 1. They cancelled him effective -YESTERDAY, Nov. 29th. I called in this morning I was on hold for over 20 min. Once my call was taken I explained my question and the gentleman was not listening and asking about other things. I had to repeat myself 3 times to this gentleman before asking to speak with someone that can help me with my simple question. Called the Marketplace 3 times and all three times I got a black person with an attitude, but am I aloud to say that or am I a "Racist" because I have ears, eyes and a brain??? Not that any change is going to happen, but it would be nice if after spending almost two hours on the phone and then getting pushed to your survey because i was put on hold and he didnt come back fast enough, if your customer service reps would call me back to finish. In 2015, I could not complete my enrollment online. I gave up. I was automatically re-enrolled for 2015. For 2016 I could not review and complete my enrollment. I needed simply to update my estimated income and choose a plan. I spent 45 minutes on the phone doing what would have taken me 30 seconds if I could use the web site. This horrible website sends me in circles, it locks up, it shuts down, and instead of continuing where I left off, I have to start at the beginning over and over again year after year. This enrollment website is ridiculous! Not user friendly at all! I have wasted hours of my valuable time trying to apply for REQUIRED coverage! Disappointing!
