Not able to use website, on hold over one hour TWICE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I can't begin to cover what all happened, so I'll mention the highlights! I could not log in to my account for a couple days, thought perhaps I had the wrong user name or wrong password, so did the "forgot user name, forgot password" and they stated they sent an email with the info - never got any emails, checked spam folder, etc., nothing; it was proper email acct as they had sent deadline reminders to the acct. I eventually did get a reset password that did not work properly so you have to call them. Called three times, first told they were too busy to accept calls and a rep would call back, did I want a morning or afternoon callback! I tried later, got through this time but on hold, said it would be 20 minutes, an hour passed and still on hold, hung up and called back later, got through again, on hold over an hour again, when at 11:58 p.m. I got the prompts for their survey asking about my experience with the representative, etc. - I never got through, I was on hold the whole time so couldn't rate that, no way to bypass it so I gave a 1 to all questions (lowest rating), it thanked me and then they hung up. Unbelievable. I called back and got the message I got the initial time, that they were too busy and would call me morning or afternoon. There are no words....

Healthcare.gov Automated System

Pretty funny when your on the system and you say no to the survey they automatically say they can't take your call and have to call back or leave your number so they can call back. But, if you say yes to the survey then guess what? They all of a sudden can take your call and put you on the waiting list. Pretty *** they won't take your call unless you say you take their *** survey. It's all a rip off anyway. I've done this for 3 years with no different circumstances and my monthly payment has rose 30-45% every year.

Auto-enrollment is a terrible practice

I entered a special plan with healthcare.gov during the trial period of my employer. Basically, for the first 60 days of employment, you aren't eligible for their group health plan. Setup was easy on the healthcare.gov site and I got a good rate, so no biggie. I knew the insurance would end right around the time I would get coverage at my work so I didn't bother enrolling and just let the insurance run out. My grievance is that they need to specifically tell you that they are going to auto-apply for insurance on your behalf regardless of whether you ask them to or not, and without warning. I designated that I was only getting insurance for a temporary amount of time due to my employer's rules. They applied for my old insurance without me knowing and now my OLD insurance company claims I owe them money. If it was any other business besides the government, they'd get sued, but I guess since it's the government basically using my identity to operate on my behalf there's not much I can do. This is a terrible practice and they need to tell people that this may happen before they enroll. I will definitely not advise anyone to use their temporary insurance services.

I agree that the government is getting away with a lot of things that a private company would be penalized for. For me, it's the false advertising, leading people to believe that their monthly payment will be around $15/$20 a month.

Once you create an account and put your information in, you find out that your plan is $500 month. It's that called "Bait and Switch"?

They lure you into their program then hit you with the unaffordable costs. If you choose not to participate in what they offer, they fine you so they get their money either way.

Obama healthcare act

Obama health care program sucks period! it helps Corporations break by take away health care for their employees those low under 30 hours(not by choice)part timer (now days if you work retail there is no full timer unless you are in management) so if you are marry they count both income so you are not eligible for subsidized health care currently I end up paying $450 a month through my husbands health care program. This hurting middle class people if you are marry or single. Before obama act for health care My company program that covers part time worker for $120 a month. All these means that Obama favors Corporations break of coverage in their employees and killing citizens of Americans unless you are here in america illegally and have no house and job make less than 18,000 a year(not counting under the table paying job) than you get government subsidies break. Does anyone notice or have infected by this? This sucks Need to change ASAP "STOP THIS PROGRAM No penalty CHARGING FOR NOT HAVING INSURANCE" It should be people's choice not Government's!!! Hope it change it soon to help citizens of american and not the illegal and Corporations.

I HATE HEALTHCARE.GOV!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This is my most recent issue with the Healthcare Marketplace (I have had many!) I have never written about it, but I don't know what else to do at this point. So, I figured if nothing else I will post what happened to me here and maybe someone, someday will see this problem or at least know they are not the only people experiencing this complete cluster-f***.

I received a letter (October 2015) stating that my wife has coverage under Medicaid and a Marketplace plan. It says I need to cancel my Marketplace plan or I will have to pay back all subsidies. So, I call the Marketplace hotline and they tell me to call my state's Medicaid office. I call the Medicaid office and they confirm that no one in my family has Medicaid. I call the Marketplace back and let them know what the Medicaid office said. The Marketplace informs me that I need to get a letter stating the ineligibility for Medicaid and mail it to them. The person on the phone also tells me that I uploaded this document to the website during my application last year but for some reason they can't open it so they need a new letter.

So, back on the phone with Medicaid, I request a letter be sent to my address. They then inform me that in their computer it shows my wife and son have Medicaid! I say, how in the world is that possible? We have never received anything saying they are in Medicaid, no insurance cards, no statements, NOTHING! Furthermore, I have the statement on my application for the Marketplace saying that none of us are eligible for Medicaid. Mind you, I have been using my Marketplace insurance since January. I keep asking questions trying to wrap my brain around why Medicaid seems to think my wife and son have Medicaid. The person on the phone keeps repeating the same phrase over and over, "In our database it says (my wife) and (son) have Medicaid." Then, they offer to send a Medicaid insurance card to my address. I say no- don't, I don't want Medicaid- no one in my family wants Medicaid- we already have insurance. Then the representative says they will close our Medicaid account. I ask for a letter to be sent stating all this and they agree to send one. Now I'm faced with the possibility of paying back the subsidy that we received for the last nine months!!! This will be around 4000 dollars! I don't even have money to buy groceries so I can eat lunch at work! This is crazy, and I don't know what to do. This is such a huge scam by the insurance companies.

bottom line is that no one in the marketplace knows anything about anything!!! they are completely incompetent and it is unbelievable to me that they have the power to screw us over and think nothing of it!

You really can't believe anything they say and heaven forbid you get disconnected because you will just have to start the whole process over again.

we were charged for 2 polices and now they are saying because they were both active that we may not get a refund and we could possibly be charged again for both policies if they were to show that in fact they were both active!

Stealing our money is what they have done. Sigh.......

Supervisor hung up on me

several calls to marketplace - needed to call to finish uploading required tax documents - due tomorrow. The upload section of application said complete so couldn't upload anymore. Requested a supervisor and she told me I didn't have to upload the rest of my information - WRONG. She said I could mail it - which would make it late. She told me that no mater what she did she couldn't make me happy and hung up on me when I suggested that you should be able to upload at any time. The reason that I was on the deadline is because when I received the first notice requiring some information a different agent gave me the wrong information and told me they had everything.

Universial Affordable Health Care...WHAT A JOKE!!!

Family of 4. Terrible coverage, for the meager sum of only about $18,000.00 out of pocket before we are graciously on a 70/30 split. $18,000.00 that's real hard earned money, WTF!. And if you're healthy you won't even use it. Then a house note, house insurance, flood insurance, car insurance, car maintenance, utilities, phone, children's needs, food, etc., etc....right! Spread the wealth, wow it sounds so glamorous, almost like your going to get something for free. Nope, not you who already works hard, you'll keep on working hard & receive less for it. Obama is not the main problem, all the Jelly Heads that support him & any type of socialism views are the problem. Do the country a favor and please kindly help educate any Jelly Head you come across. Health care is not a "Right", free speech is.

What I think is funny and sad is how they said when they start Obama care that private insurance would drop by 40-60% but instead has doubled. I have compared and watched as 10 employees medical went from as low as $90-178 4yrs ago now its $400-788 and 60% have never even used it!!

Worst Experience Ever!

I have just spent 3 hours on the phone, waiting for Experian to verify the CORRECT INFORMATION I provided to apply for the over priced, unwanted "health care" the *** President lied about to prevent being fined. Experian could not verify it, so I guess I will be paying the tax that Pelosi et all passed in the middle of a cold December night without reading. Wake up sheep! I guess my experience would have been better if had been illegal, irresponsible, and unemployed, instead of being a single, white, responsible guy that works his off, and makes very little money.

I averaged about $11,000 a year for the past 4 years and I was told I didnt make enough money for the lower price Obama Care and that I would have to pay over $700 a month for health insurance with a $5,000 deductible or get fined. Well, I was not fined because Florida does not provide affordable insurance unless you have small children. My children are grown and I am 51 therefore have not been to a doctor for over four years until recently I was seen at a hospital. I lost my job because of not getting regular checkups, the hospital said they could tell I have been a diabetic for awhile with the blood test I ran, my blood pressure is running close to 200/100, which has caused many other issues with my bowels, kidneys, eyes and also intestinal growths. My back and neck has discs injuries after a fall and I cannot get health care because there is none unless I qualify for disability which I can't qualify for without regular doctors. The health department told me there is at least a year wait to get most testing done because they are overwhelmed with patients who are not even citizens and I have worked over 35 years paying into our social security system, yet I can't get a colonoscopy done and I have rectal bleeding and a growth there. Thanks, Obama

Thanks for being the WORST President in history, Obama.

My Obummer care is basically no insurance. $12k deductible and it covers only 60% of the bill.

Now I am told my premium is going up 855%.

That is no typo. Needless to say I have to cancel so thanks Obama.

Obama lied to get the Obama Care passed into law and most of the insurance companies raised their prices because the government is footing the bill. There are many companies that are only hiring part time or seasonal. I wish I could have purchased insurance that was affordable.

Left hand knows nothing about the right

The marketplace wants proof I am not getting health coverage from the Veterans Addministration, so I call the VA and was told that in order for me to go to the VA I must have insurance and that the VA provides health care, NOT health coverage and the marketplace should know this, so I can not get a letter from the VA, and the marketplace is going to end my assistance. What kind of screwed up place is this? It figures is all I can say, I am screwed and nothing I can do.

I can't understand what the deal is. My mom has been dealing with this from the beginning. They tell her she qualifies for assistance but then they don't send the check on time or not at all, no matter how often she send in her income. They ask every other month for her house hold income which hasn't change. Her insurance has been cancel three or more times a year. Please help

I think the health care (Obama care) is a joke.i don't mind paying higher premiums but I think we should have better coverage and better service .Waiting to see a doctor is ridiculous. We should not be at the governments mercy when ir comes to good quality health care.
