Went to refill a prescription in the second week of January and was told my health insurance expired. I had paid my premium, had a new card ,they even sent me a message on Jan 4 that said I was enrolled.
Called the insurance company and was told the marketplace cancelled my plan on Jan 1 and it would take a month to start it again. I am out of the medication which I desperately need to stay well. I also was never notified that they cancelled my insurance so if anything happened to me I would have been totally screwed.
So now I am stuck without insurance and medication for a whole month. The government needs to get out of the health care business.
